Garbage and Recycling Service

Weekly garbage service at the Town Hall Garbage and Recycling is for standard garbage and acceptable recyclables for Town of Pulaski landowners and residents. Please do not dispose of large items at the collection site outside of the Spring/Fall Clean Up Days (1st Saturday of May and October). Republic Services (acquired Town and Country Sanitation) offers solution options for dumpsters for residents who have disposal needs that the township contract does not provide. They can be reached at 608-375-5856

There are two dumpsters for garbage (not to include construction materials, wood, electronics, and other waste that is not standard garbage) two dumpsters for cardboard (flatten boxes and put in cardboard specific dumpsters), and a large co-mingled dumpster for Plastics, Metal Cans, Paper Food Containers & Cartons, Glass, and Paper. Please make sure your recyclables are empty, clean, and dry before recycling.

Republic Services provided an updated list of What’s Recyclable . Thank you for recycling the acceptable items, the yearly DNR grant money paid to the township is dependent on our collaborative recycling efforts. Unacceptable items are disposed of with regular garbage. The township plans to offer electronic recycling during the spring/fall cleanup dates.

Wisconsin Town Revaluation

In Wisconsin, towns are required to conduct a revaluation of all taxable property at least once every five years to ensure property values accurately reflect current market conditions. This process is necessary to fairly distribute the property tax burden among all property owners to ensure that taxes are distributed fairly. The revaluation process involved an on-site exterior review of properties and may include an on-site interior review to confirm or update data. Property owners will receive a written notice of assessment at the conclusion of the revaluation process, and they have an opportunity to discuss the assessed values with the assessment staff at Open Book. For more detailed information on the revaluation process, property owners can refer to the Wisconsin Department of Revenue’s 2025 Guide to Property Owners or download the Revaluation FAW PDF Wisconsin Property Assessment Manual
